HGL Importer

Transferring data from StormCAD to Civil 3D has traditionally been a time-consuming and error-prone task. However, by using the Dynamo script provided below, you can now quickly and accurately transfer minor and major storm HGL elevations directly into Civil 3D, allowing for seamless integration into your storm profiles.

Intructions

1. Get Pipe HGL Information from StormCAD and create HGL excel file as shown.

2. Open Dyanamo and add the excel file path, excel sheet name, and pipe network name to the needed Dynamo nodes.

2. Hit the Run button in the bottom left.

*Make sure your profile HGL display is turned on.

*You can check that all needed pipes are updating by inputing zeros for all the HGL elevations.
